Lift Bridges. Anyone have something on a pulley??

Our club layout has three sets of tracks on our hinged lift bridge. Over the years a few have been recipients to a good size bump on the top of the noggin. We have decided to eliminate this hazard before one of us gets a serious whack on the head.

Has anyone designed something with a pulley system? Or something safer.

I'd love to see what you've done!!
