I spend a good amount of time on Facebook on behalf (mostly) of the shelter I volunteer with and the dogs we have there. Facebook, and social media in general, has done wonders in helping us find loving homes for these dogs, not only locally, but also in other areas.
I don't do a whole lot of train-related activity on Facebook, aside from some really fine On30 and narrow gauge groups that have sites there. Great groups because they stick to the topic in a positive way with positive attitudes, and they display some great modeling skills.
