Calling a micro-switch a cherry switch can be confusing. The Cherry company either makes or sells them, but the generic term is "miniature snap-action switch" or "limit switch." Even the term "micro switch" is not the generic term, since the Micro® name is a trademark, but most of us use that term generically.
