An important issue has come to our attention. There is a manufacturing problem with the RS-3 LionChief Plus locomotives. Incorrectly sized traction tires were installed and will cause the loco... to derail going through switches. Lionel has determined that the most efficient way to handle this is to have a recall of all LionChief PLUS RS-3 locos. The items involved are as follows – #6-38816 Pennsylvania LionChief Plus RS-3 #6-38819 Rio Grande LionChief Plus RS-3 #6-38778 Chicago North Western LionChief Plus RS-3 #6-38779 New York Central LionChief Plus RS-3 Lionel is sorry for the inconvenience this will cause but is reacting quickly to minimize the problem and handle it as efficiently as possible.
