Lionchief plus gp 2050 runs in forward only no revere

Hi was woundering if anybody eles is having problemes with the lionchief plus unites moving forwards only even when you dial up revere. Iv checked motors and they will run fine both directions fine when you change boards motor plug around . So im thinking its boards e unit. All plugs are in place and look in good order. If its the board lionel doesn't have one for the gp2050 ... can i use the rs3 lionchief plus board instead as they do stock that... thanks...
