Lionel 6-18025 ONLY RUNS IN REVERSE

HELP! I have a Lionel 6-18025 in great condition. Everything seems to work (bell,whstle, etc) but it will only go in reverse. No neutral, no forward only in reverse. There does not seem to be any switches to take it out of that state. Anyone have any ideas????
