Oh, in that case I clearly agree with you Pete, we were initially talking about worm gears. 
I only recall one Pittman motor with the flywheel pressed on, as you say, almost all of them have setscrews.
Of course, I prefer the Cruise Commander 100 step mode to the Odyssey Lurch, but at least it's cruise for cheap.
