Lionel 6-38000 Empire State Express

FKCCOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I am looking to buy a 6-38000 and want to make sure it is compatible with my layout.

Does anyone have experience running the 6-38000 on O42 track? (I know it is spec'd at O54). I will be using cars compatible with O42. Also, does anyone know the combined length of the engine + tender?
