The scale sized ESE might shove through O42, but it probably won’t like it, and more than likely will look goofy doing it. …..If your layout has no future plans for wider curves, etc., I’d stick with the traditional sized locomotives, like the Kline you mentioned on your other thread. ….the smaller, traditional sized engines will glide through O42 happily,…..
