I have all of the MPC semi scale Hudsons. The 783 and 784 run well but the 785 Grey is the best running of them all. Its due to the fact that when the 785 came out, the armature shaft had 2 slots for washers and bearings to secure to the motor housing. The 783 and 784 only have 1 slot in the armature for the bearing and washers and sometimes the armature shaft shifted. The 785 is the fastest, that was until I changed out the armatures in the 783 and 784 with the 785 armatures, and they all run extremely smooth and faster!
