Actually, the 16 ohm resistor will frequently cook the R2LC triac, it dissipates too much power with that low a resistance. With a 20 ohm resistor, it runs in the 65-70C range, about all I'd push it. With a 16 ohm resistor, I was reading over 90C, way too hot!
