Lionel 6520 Searchlight Car

I have this 1950-vintage car and I believe it has all parts except for any wiring. I found the wiring schematic but still cannot figure out where to attach the wire coming into the housing. Also the outgoing wire from the switch. Does anyone have one of these cars and could perhaps share pictures?
