Just an FYI, Lionel does a fairly good job setting up loco's to run how the real railroad ran loco's. For example, using a RS-11, my PRR RS-11 is set to run long hood forward as that's how the Pennsy ran them. On the other hand my New Haven RS-11 is set to run, by Lionel, short hood forward as that is how the New Haven ran them. I have numerous pictures and DVD's to prove my point as well. Also look for the letter "F", as that is the front end. Lionel, because of this, sets the engineers accordingly.
