Reply to "Lionel A6 whistle steam effect not working"

Engine has been reprogramed, no help. Smoke out of the smoke stack is less than normal, and "steam" from whistle non-existant. Will be trying blowing into the whistle line to clear any bubbles.. Ive heard other reports of problems with the whistle steam effect, but not particulars. Any other ideas appreciated.
