I actually prefer some of the Lionel diesels as candidates for 2 rail conversion. The Alco S2 switcher, the scale F3s, the scale FM Trainmasters, the H16-44, the GP30s, and Sharks are all nice models to convert or have converted. And the truck wheelbases look to be the right size too. I've been looking at the FA-2s as well.
