while doing some repair on the engine I decided to take a look at the smoke unit and when I went to put it back together the parts had rolled out of position on the work bench. I'm trying to reassemble the smoke unit and can't figure out the position of the piston assembly and the spring to the pumper lever.
I need to know how the cup in the smoke generator goes back in with the spring inside the cup facing up and the closed end of the cup sitting on the smoke lever or the spring in the cup facing down on the pumper lever and the closed end of the cup facing up. ANY IDEA??? Looking at the picture in the manual the spring appears to be sitting in the cup facing up in to the smoke unit and the closed end facing down. For the life of me at 74 years young I think I got s#@t for brains and can't remember. Any and all help will be appreciated.
