After looking at the new Legacy base in the catalog, I noticed there is no more serial port on the base. I currently use the serial port for my dz2500 switch machines and my old TMCC base. I have the zstuff data wire driver plugged into the base which supplies all my switches with the command signal. I would assume to continue use of that with the new base I would now need to buy the LCS serial 2 unit? If I am thinking about this correctly, the ser2 would plug into the new base with the LCS ports. I would then plug my Zstuff data wire driver into the ser2 to get my command signal for the switches.
I was also still using the old command base (plugged in via the y adapter) so I had 2 remotes (Cab1, and Cab2). Can I also plug my TMCC base into the LCS serial unit to still use the old remote? Or do I need to get the new cab1L if I want a second remote?
Does this sound correct?
