Reply to "Lionel CC PRR Sharks color question?"

I would hasten to add that in real life the colors would hardly be a perfect match, once wind and weather worked on them for a spell, color shades would be all over the map.

I totally agree, which is why I think the hemming and hawing over shades of the same color is often way over the top.

I have the CC PRR Sharks, and they are a bit "greener" than most of my other PRR Brunswick Green locomotives.  I believe true Brunswick Green is very close to black, and the CC PRR Sharks are probably a bit too green.  However, they're good looking engines, so I'll keep them.

Ditto.  I just got the Legacy PRR single stripe units, but I’ll definitely be hanging on to the CC IIs.  The paint on those is pretty sharp.
