Lionel Construction Sets 1948-49

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I am looking for information on the Lionel construction sets of 1948 and 49. Is there any information out there that would shed some light on what was contained in the various sets. I have recently purchased a couple of these sets and trying to find out what I may need to complete them Any help would be appreciated.
