As previously stated, removing the rivets is typically on a case-by-case basis. Some come out easily, others are a PITA. I prefer to have the rivet tool set not too heavy and just hit it several times, this allows me not to over-do anything. This is especially true for truck rivets, once you get them too tight, there is no turning back.
