Thank you for your continued interest in these great HSL Lionel digital archive products! I would like to clarify a few things ...
All things ended on a positive note with these products and all parties involved. I had always hoped to find a permanent home on the web that would be able to host these products for many years, if not indefinitely. Delivering the product on CDs was becoming more difficult as PCs/Macs no longer had DVD/CD readers. Other viewing platforms like iPads and other mobile devices could not access CDs. Having these products hosted on a web-site allows all devices to access the products. By working with the LCCA and Lionel, these now have a permanent home on the LCCA web-site (www.lionelcollectors.org). You can become a member for as little as $25/year. Thanks go to both the LCCA and Lionel for making this happen.
The CDs are no longer available. Access is now via the LCCA website. HSL’s website address is www.hslinc.com . Some links provided above are to links within the website.
Personally, I am out of the digital archive business. I enjoyed working on these products immensely as I am a fellow train hobby enthusiast! I have met many of you through this endeavor and still enjoy the friendships and putting names and faces together!
It all started with my friends at OGR with the OGR Digital Archive. Now those OGR Digital Archive digitized images are available via the OGR Digital Library — available for free to OGR Digital Edition subscribers!
All of the HSL digital archive efforts will remain available even though a few have yet to be announced.
I know many folks have requested digital Lionel catalogs from 1996 - present. A logical place is next to the 96 years currently available on the LCCA web-site. If you are interested in seeing this happen, please join the LCCA in support of the current archives that are available and let the LCCA know your interest in seeing the ones that are currently missing. I know the LCCA listens to their members!
