Lionel DM&IR SD18 truck side frames, diecast or plastic?

Quick question for someone that has one of these, are the truck side frames plastic or diecast. The older SD18 like the Santa Fe are metal and it says so right on the box label. On the Missabe units, it does not say. Thanks AD
