Not a big deal but I'm wondering why the green marker lamps are off going forward ?

Unless I'm mistaken, Lionel did away with the "bi color" markers on diesels, they are either red or off.
I preferred the red to green and vice versa markers of the earlier legacy stuff. Prototypical or not, this was a neat feature whwn changing direction.
Yes, I remember they did away with the bi-directional marker lights. I like the two-light system better as well, although I'd prefer that the forward mode have white/yellow marker lights (more prototypical), with red on the reverse. I don't know if it would be possible to wire in some white LEDs to the headlight circuit so they would be on and visible when the engine is going forward. Depends on whether there's any space next to the red LEDs, I suppose, or if they can be moved over just a hair.
