I picked this one up for less than 30$ with a broken front truck/wheel assembly but intact motor and completely intact rear motor and setup except a broken coupler. First off..these were made with pretty much all plastic and the front is mot salvageable with the pieces sent to me. It is close regarding the motor housing but the outer plastic pieces are missing some bits so I cant glue enough together.
So I originally thought I would take one of the motors and put it either into one of my sons other diesels as he has one GP7 that is nonpowered and one SE 9 (I think) that has only one motor and is a bit underpowered.
Of course I am a noob and totally in over my head..but made this purchase knowing that. Where should I start in regards to a resource to educate myself on what I can realistically hope to accomplish here. I will post pics when I get the chance in the next few days but from my observations all 3 engines have different assemblies and I am not sure how I could make any one work.
