Fortunately it appears the thumb tacks will remain on the passenger cars with the kinematic couplers. Its so much easier to close the gap on the cars now vs the older cars with the couplers attached to the trucks.
For those who don't like the thumb tacks do you actually use uncoupling tracks to do switching moves or is it just the appearance that bothers you?
If you don't use them for switching the tacks are easily removed and the cars can still be manually uncoupled with the side tab.
