MAIN ROD W/ CROSSHEAD / RIGHT FRONT BIG BOY

Question is how hard is it for a novice to replace, or am I better off having a professional handle it. My local shop will be a two to three month turn around and I won't be shipping it anywhere else. Anyone have schematics or advice?
