I am from Hampton, Virginia. This was my first experience with the inferred light between the engine and the tender along with having the ground tab from the tender to the locomotive. I simply was placing the ground inside the connector rather than on top which was allowing the light to not make direct contact with the receiving end.

The good news is it was something simple! All is well that ends well. Enjoy.
