I can feel your frustration but here’s a question, do you have room to move up to wider curves, 042?, 054?, if so, this would make available to you a lot more operating options. 027, 031, are tight circles which make your selection of rolling stock snd engines more or less small. LionChief is a great suggestion, and there’s a lot of that category to choose from, but if you are setting your sights on more scale type operation, get wider curves. Lionel is trying to make all folks happy, it’s a tough job. Good luck, and Happy Railroading Everyone
