The original box is enormous. The base and cab2 fits in a shoebox for shipping. The power supply usually does not need to go in for warranty. I am not into saving the Legacy box. As a matter of fact, it seems like the boxes in general are a bit of old school. I think the engine boxes make sense, and the passenger car set boxes too. The accessory, switch, etc. boxes and single car boxes may bring an extra few dollars, but storing them is almost not worth it.
It might demonstrate some kind of attention to detail on the basis of the seller, but still not really worth it.
