Reply to "Lionel Lighthouse Sound Not Working"

I removed the four screws that are under the house and I cannot remove the house. From the top it looks like the walls of the house cannot be separated from the base. Has anyone actually removed the house and if so how? I couldn't pull the house off no matter how hard I pulled.
