I should correct a couple of things from my post above. There is no reset afaik for TMCC. Also momentum is just a feature to play with later. Stall should be set after you get things working. From one of your older post John I found Lionel part #610-8080-128 for TMCC magnet ring. Does this fit all TMCC engines?

The magnet ring fits the flywheels used on Mabuchi 385 motors used in most all diesels. Scale steam uses a larger flywheel. If those break you typically replace the whole flywheel.
