I don't really know. I do know that one of the Series 1 models did not accept the Series 2 motor. I also would have liked to put the series 2 motor in the Hogwart's locomotive, but it didn't work there either. I have one of the Series 2 motors that I tried in both places, hence my reluctance to say that it'll fit in any of them.
