Well, if you're really liking these sets, you could upgrade them to DC motors and cruise control. Frank Timko does DC motor replacements, and the ERR Cruise Commander M would complete the picture. The rest of the electronics would be usable as is. Cost is probably in the $200 range for parts if you can do the installation.
