It's been a while, but thought i'd post an update to this. A couple of weeks ago I finally decided to send this in to Lionel for them to look at. Just got it back and now everything is working GREAT! All wires and solder connections were good. The only thing they did was tighten up the drawbar and used some new shrink wrap. Basic fix, but was worried it was something worse. Glad it's on my track again and is no doubt the best engine I've ever had.
