I recognize your complete and full understanding of all things electrical John, but in my example I used 5 IDENTICAL Lionel street lamps (incandescent if it matters) I know what I saw and the lights got dimmer from 1 to 5.

Maybe my understanding of what 'series' means is wrong then. I picture it as a feed coming to light one and then the other wire goes directly to light 2 and 2's other wire goes directly to light 3, etc.

John, I'd never ever want to debate electrical things with you so I guess I'm missing something, but I know what I saw
