Reply to "Lionel Service - Bad News & Good News"

This seems to be the normal process now.  The manufacturer does not address defects, almost surreal - they don't have it in their genes to offer alternatives or suggestions.  Almos tlike you saying 'well, the sky is blue', and they say 'not correct; is there anything else you need; goodbye; click.'

At the April York I got talking to two people from Lionel - the one guy is the person who always demonstrates their trains.  Anyhow, he wanted to know why I would not buy Lionel stuff.  I gave him 3 reasons and he had no come backs.  It was not adversarial, just factual.  This would be reason #4.

I agree, Nicholas Smith is a great store - old time train store upstairs, old time toy store down stairs.  Worth a visit if anyone lives nearby and has not gone there, or is visiting the Philly area.

Unfortunately, Lionel has become very short with their answers.
