I really enjoyed looking through this catalog. After all the leaks that were posted prior to the catalog’s release on Monday I thought there was nothing I was going to be interested in but after a close review there are 3 items I really like:
1. PRR E8s - I do own the 5 stripe PRR E8s from a few years ago but the ditch lights are calling my name. Got to do some heavy thinking about this one.
2. PRR Vision Line PRR Refer 3 pack - If I pass on #1 this maybe my first Vision Line product.
3. Amtrak E8s - No ditch lights on these but my god what a paint job. I don’t own any Amtrak equipment which means I would need Amtrak passenger cars so this could run into some big bucks.
I continue to hope Lionel will do either a Vision Line PRR T1 or at least a Legacy PRR T1 soon as my train buying days are numbered. So come on Lionel make a GD Legacy T1. Forget making anymore SP GS Locomotives for at least 10 years. Same thing as the Reading T-1 which was made 5 years ago. Even the B6 my favorite Legacy engine was only out 5 years ago. There should be at least 7 years between re-runs of Legacy engines especially since you have not run a scale PRR T1 in over 20 years. I say this with peace and love, peace and love.
