Lionel switches 5132 & 5133: Track curve questions

I am building a new layout 16' X 8' feet and am using the above switches. I was wondering if I could use 042 or 054 curved track in conjunction with those switches to have a larger curvature. What would the pros and cons by with either of those two or any other suggestions. I am using those switches in my present layout. I also have two brand new in the box 072 switches I bought several years ago, but I don't think they would work well in the confines of the new layout and I will probably sell them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
