My standard connection is a couple of PH180 transformers going through the MTH TIU and to the tracks. The Legacy base is connected directly to one of the outside rails.

This arrangement runs MTH and TMCC/Legacy seamlessly at the same time, different times, whatever.

Since I have variable channels going to two tracks, I can run conventional when I need to as well, no connection changes.
