I finally got to test my other Legacy and TMCC engines on my 990 system.

The big red velocity dial will not accelerate any of them.

The only way to get them to move forward is to select the SPEED button and click one of the pre-set speed icons.

Then, with the engine moving forward, when I turn the velocity dial to speed up, the reverse happens: the engine decelerates. WEIRD! It happens on all of the Legacy and TMCC motives that I have. Turning the dial left or right only yields one result: it slows down the engine.

It must be a problem with my 990 system.

I just emailed Legacy Station to tell them about the problem. I hope they will offer a replacement 990 system.

What a bummer. I guess some of the retooled 990s are lemons after all.
