Locked in conventional mode

Hi Folks,

Need some assistance with my Lionel Legacy Norfolk and Southern SD-70ACe 2663. It is locked in conventional mode. My other legacy engines run fine on layout and test track. However, my NS 2663 starts and remains in conventional mode at start up and then stands still. Only the number board light are on. Cab and forward and reverse lights remain off. Sound works fine.

Any advice is most welcome.
