Locomoitve Horn Sound Keeps Changing

I just got one of the new Lionel BNSF heritage locomotives and the sound of the horn keeps changing on me, and it's driving me nuts. I seemed to remember that Lionel has made changing the sound a thing in newer locomotives, but I can't find anything about it in the manual about how one would change the sound or how to lock in the sound you want so it never changes again. It is very frustrating!
