Locomotive for Polar Express Scale Freight

I buy all the PolEx scale freight offerings. I keep hoping for a locomotive to be cataloged to go with them. I realize the BiPolar was offered in PolEx, but an electric isn’t my thing. I would like a small to midsize steamer or an early diesel. I know they’ve been done in Polar RR, but I want it in PolEx.

A few years ago, I bought a pilot version of the Legacy Pacific. I always thought I wanted a pilot locomotive, but it really just sits on the shelf. I may hold out for one or two more catalogs, but if a PolEx freight locomotive doesn’t make an appearance, I’m thinking about sending the pilot Pacific to someone like Harry H and having it painted and lettered in PolEx.

What are others doing for PolEx scale freight? Anybody ever had luck painting a pilot? Any other ideas?
