Similar to my 5V PS2 20+ year old engines. Best to avoid, but the 4 that I bought new are all good to go, as is the case with a recent acquisition from the 2001 catalog, that was extremely lightly used (~49 miles on the odometer).

If it was something from that era that I couldn't get from current era, I'd probably still buy it, MTH or Lionel!
