Dave...From what I've been told by others whom are more knowledgable than I am on DCC, the answer is no. To program a Loksound decoder, you need the Loksound programmer unit. Now, this may change in due time, but I honestly doubt it will. And, I do not know just what the cost is for these programmers. This why most of the O scalers in my area use Digitrax, or NCE decoders. Now regarding QSI decoders, I have 2 Atlas MP 15s with QSI, that I can run on the Fox Valley O layout, which uses the NCE system, and programming. The only "oddball" decoders are the Loksound, that however, once programmed, will run using NCE or Digitrax handsets. Loksound just needs their specific programmer unit to actually program the decoder.
