Just looked up the set on MTH site. In that case, rub off logos with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I never liked the RK MTH RDC's. Lionel's are the same length but look longer I guess due to the windows?
Silver - Don't know until you try removing one. I converted all of RMT Walters roads to CNJ without any problems. If silver looks worn, mask and hit the area with a quick one time pass using silver spray. Apply clear satin, Armorall or pledge to the area to match MTH satin finish. Chances are you wont have to do that unless you get carried away applying the process.
