In theory that board could work. But it might require me to change the configuration of some of the wires, that plug into the board, to make it work. It might not be super difficult to find a wiring diagram, but I am also concerned with space. It's extremely tight in the shell of my Atlas O Amtrak Dash 8, and that board might not fit in perfectly in place of the old board. Without contacting the metal antenna.

If I don't find an SAW GEN2 board in the end. I could just take the board out of my BNSF Dash 8, since it's got exactly the same board, and use the good board in my Amtrak Dash 8.

For the BNSF Dash 8, I could either put PS3 in it. Or put the bad board in it and convert it into a dummy engine. With sound and lights, and use it along side another engine.

Hey Michael,

Unfortunately I can't help you with the board but I did see you concern about wire management, not only do I know how to help, I have personal experience with this.

I have an Atlas Master SD60M that USPS used as a door stop for a few days it seemed. It was a total mess when I finally got it but I fell in love with the amount of detail on the engine and decided to keep it and make it run again. You think your space was tight? When all was said and done, my shell did not want to go back on! LOL so what I decided to do was disconnect all of the module boards and leave the main board in place, then I routed as many of the cables I could fit without over stuffing the channels through the TALL PINS that connect the main board to the various modules. This saved me a ton of space in the shell toward the antenna which is mounted above the boards and made reassembly a breeze as the wires are securely held in place when you reattach the modules to the main board.

I wish I had a picture but I can't seem to find one for some reason, I could have sworn I had taken some but I guess not.

Good Luck!
