This seems to be a redux of this OGR thread from last year. As time goes by the ceramic stem 2mm LEDs will only get harder to find!

As I see it, the discussion needs to pivot to alternatives - DIY or purchased. There have been a lot of suggestions but has anyone successfully replaced the 2mm ceramic style? How? Extra credit for photos.
