Reply to "Looking for tips or advices for the early Williams Dreyfuss Hudson to run"

Hello guys and gals.......

Oh boy its been a very busy weekend and first day of the week.  I have done some more work on the Hudson such as installing the LED's for the trail end roof of the Williams Observation car and adding brass washers as a spacers (6 per side) between the siderods and the main rod.  I think it looks better as to fill in the huge gap between them.  The boiler screw is tiny bit too short as if its loosen by a half a turn then the whole chassis will fall out so I got some 4-40 by 1 1/4 inch long machine screws and retapped the hole to 4-40 size (extra longer screw won't hurt).  The original screw is 1 inch long, better safe than sorry to have to pick up the broken chassis from the floor.  I thought of a idea to use a short piece of PCV pipe and fill it with fishing weights to get a few OZ of weight as a boiler weight ( I haven't gotten the fishing weights yet).  And finally made a brass "U" bracket for the cast metal air compressors from Bowser for the front of the engine and spray primer then paint, it came out pretty good.  I had to drill and tap 2-56 machine screws to mount it on the frame.   Its almost done then body painting is next as the weather permits (again) so here are the photos........
