No luck in the glass lens ? Oh well.  Today is a beautiful day for painting so decided to paint the engine body and boy it turn out well and it showed lots of metallic sparkles in the sun as its drying !    I drilled mounting holes on the tender body front and back and made "L" brackets for it to mount the tender body to the tender frame.  I also made a ground tab to install a high pinched whistle sound ( I hope its LOUD enough) from Dallee as one wire is for the ground and other for the pick-ups.  I haven't gotten the sound unit and roller pick ups for the tender yet as will purchase those items in June.  I will paint the tender body tomorrow. After the tender body is painted, then the gloss clear coat for the decals after that the final gloss clear top coat in few days.  I  didn't take any more pictures of the passenger cars as all I did was changed to bayonet base LED's bulbs so that nothing. Here are the pictures guys.

Surely someone in this forums can help with the lens ?  Glass, flat .290 Dia. by .0625 thick for headlight on this Hudson, anyone ?

(up-date 5/15/17) Another beautiful day to paint the tender body so it was done about hour ago, check out 8 new pictures of the tender body.  I am still waiting for the decals from Dave of LBR.  He said that he will ship the custom size "Burlington Route" decals by Thursday this week.  That will give more time for the bodies to be totally dry by then.  Guys, I know this Dreyfuss Hudson belongs to NYC but there are many of those engines models from other makes that look better than this lowly Hudson. This engine has no chance to complete with the other makes so decided (few months ago) to paint it in Burlington colors because it is simple and make it a "one of a kind" engine for this Burlington road name. This Williams lowly Hudson does have looks from the postwar era. and pulling postwar style Williams aluminum passenger cars as they really look good together almost like a matched streamline style set that is so "why not" make it different or special !  I am still looking for glass lens for the Hudson.

(up-date 5/16/17) I decided to put the bodies on the frames to see what it looks like and wow it blew me away !!  few hours later, decided to hand paint the handrails , ladder on the engine and tender semi-gloss black and this is the first coat for the evening.  Tomorrow I will paint the second coat on handrails, check out 13 last pictures of this evening.  My goodness time flies when having fun and surely worn me out !!
